Howard is a special needs dog; he is blind. He`s a smart boy, knows basic commands, and is definitely house trained. He can act bossy sometimes, so he might be best with a submissive dog or as an only dog in your home. A home with love and patience would be best for him. He is still strong on leash so a fenced-in yard may be in order. He can sometimes be a cranky old man but is usually a very sweet guy. Howard needs some convincing to go outside, but once he realizes it means going for a walk, he gets excited. Howard gave us doggy hugs as soon as we put the leash on him and continued to be sweet and snuggly the whole time we were together. He enjoys a good petting and will stand right by your side or lean against your legs while you pet him. Howard, being a Hound, loves to sniff. He kept his nose to the ground for most of our walk around the woodland trail but still walked at a good pace and didn’t make too many stops or pull on the leash. Howard is housebroken, knows some basic commands, and would be motivated to learn more. Come in soon to see if Howard is the pooch for you! Get acquainted with this dog off leash in one of our family run areas. Most dogs will need to run off some energy before they settle down and get acquainted with you. Thanks!
