Dog Walker Volunteer Training - FULL

THIS CLASS IS FULL - ROOM AVAILABLE IN OUR OCTOBER 17 CLASS Our dogs love and need their walks! Our volunteers love them too! If you would like to be a volunteer dog walker at Orphans of the Storm animal shelter, please attend one of two training sessions to be held at the Deerfield Public Library (920 Waukegan Road, Deerfield): Monday, September 25 at 7:00pm OR Tuesday, October 17 ALL DOG WALKERS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: 1. Must be 18 years of age or older. 2. Must be available to walk dogs for at least two hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm (you pick the hours). There is no dog walking on the weekends. 3. Must be physically able to handle dogs. 4. Must attend a one-on-one training session after the initial meeting at the library. 5. Must pass a hands-on test, demonstrating proper protocol for retrieving, walking and returning dogs to kennels.
