Pet Protection Day at The Glen Orphans of the Storm Benefit Dinner 2006 Lake County Vaccination Clinic Holiday Wrapping with the Orphans

Lake County Vaccination Clinic For our fifth year in a row Orphans of the Storm participated in the annual pet vaccination drive held in North Chicago. Hosted by the Lake County Police Department, dog and cat vaccinations were offered at low cost to the pets of any resident of Lake County. Caring for pets can be costly, especially for lower income residents. So once a year rabies and other vaccinations, microchipping and low cost certificates for spay and neuter are offered to those individuals who come out with their pets in tow. This is a great opportunity for the community to keep their pets safe and healthy. Through out each summer, events such as this are held in Waukegan and North Chicago. On this afternoon, a small dent was made in the education of the importance of spay/neuter and more animals were inoculated against disease. But we've still got a long way to go.
