Orphans of the Storm animal shelter announces a few upcoming adoption events. Our off site adoption events allow us to bring select dogs and cats out to meet the public one-on-one. Volunteers transport and handle the animals and usually find them a home that day. So come on out and meet a few deserving dogs and cats at one of our events. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer there is a volunteer form to fill out on this website. Fill it out, submit it and you will be added to our volunteer list and contacted when events are scheduled. At that time you may choose to join in the fun, or wait for another opportunity. All volunteers begin at the off site events as they become familiar with procedures of the shelter. Gradually volunteers move into the shelter to walk dogs, groom and socialize the cats or possibly even act as greeters to the visiting public. Also, if you have an idea of a venue for hosting an off site adoption event, please let us know.
