Robbie the Border Collie
A lovely border collie named Robbie was brought to us after being hit by a car in North Chicago. Animal Control found him on the side of the road, and then rushed him to us here at Orphans. He was put into Orphans van and driven straight to River Trails Animal Hospital by one of our adoption counselors. After initial treatment at River Trails, we took Robbie to The Specialty Clinic west of Deerfield to see a specialist surgeon. Robbie needed a plate in his hip, and he got one. Robbie stayed with us for recovery, and after he felt a bit better, he became one of our office residents. He was at Orphans for 12 weeks before he was adopted. Sue heard Robbie’s story, fell for him and took him home.
