Big Boris the cat and petite feline Belle
Boris, a plump, bright orange tabby, was brought into the shelter after an emergency call to Lake County Animal Control that a stray cat was lying on the roadside after having been hit by a car. Boris immediately received surgery to repair a shattered jaw and spent the next two months recuperating with his lower jaw wired. He was a real cuddler, so when Alyson and her family visited Orphans to choose two cats, Big Boris displayed his best hugging skills with a nice wrap around her neck and Boris' next home was immediately assured. The search at Orphans continued for Boris’ housemate. While exploring the huge adult cat room at Orphans, Alyson and her family spied a delicate, coy, gray tiger cat with white feet named Belle. And as often happens at Orphans of the Storm, Belle picked her family – not the other way around. Two years later, Big Boris and Petite Belle are still the characters they took pains to display while residents at Orphans.
